Quickstream cloud requirements

Quickstream Cloud requires the following ports to be open in the network where Quickstream Nodes are installed to the following addresses:
  1. https://license.cloud.quickstream.tech/ (port 443 tcp)  - for subscription license verification
  2. https://auth.cloud.quickstream.tech/ (port 443 tcp) - for authentication
  3. https://platform.cloud.quickstream.tech/ (port 443 tcp) - for communication with the Quickstream Cloud management features
  4. wss://platform.cloud.quickstream.tech (port 443 tcp) - for interactive web socket communication
  5. stun.l.google.com (port 19302 udp) - for determining Quickstream Node external IP address.
It is recommended to open all traffic from Quickstream Node to destination ports: 443 TCP,19302 UDP on a firewall.

When using Quickstream Protocol it is possible to establish direct connections even if both Quickstream Nodes are behind a firewall with NAT (Network Address Translation). However direct connection might sometimes fail because of the following reasons
  1. some ports are blocked on the firewall. By default Quickstream Node is using UDP ports numbers from 20000 to 29999
  2. your Internet provider is blocking direct (p2p) connections. It is a common practice for mobile internet operators
  3. one of Quickstream Nodes is located behind symmetric NAT
it is recommended to use public IP address or redirect traffic to internal IP address.

UDP Ports from 20000 to 29999 should be redirected from outside network (Internet) to Quickstream Node.

Port range may be changed in the configuration. Please refer to the Advanced configuration section of Quickstream Node.
